Knit 1 Embellish 2

One of my new year's resolutions is to move my knitting forward from the garter stitch scarf stage....with that in mind I have spent this weekend learning the K1 P1 rib. (no snickering please) Well, many Youtube videos and yarn unravelings later...I am now working on a 12" block of k1p1 to transform into a beginner's slipper that I am dying to add a knitted flower embellishment to when finished....yes, new year's resolution is based on remembering to enjoy the journey.
